Gone

Another generation Wiped off the face of the earth With its untold stories Buried secrets Unreachable depths Irretrievable treasures Souls from the past Shrouded in grey clouds Dissipating in the distance Gone in a gust of wind Published in my 24-page photo/anthology ~ALWAYS WITH ME~ 2020 Submitted on August 30, 2017 for contest WINDS OF CHANGE sponsored by JULIE LEIGH RODEHEAVER - HONORABLE MENTION and on August 24, 2017 for CONTEST NO.325 sponsored by BRIAN STRAND

Interesting poem Line. I understand where you are coming from, but, even being the dark pessimist that I am, I see things a little different. The world we live in is an amalgamation of everything that has come before us. Not lost just incorporated into who we've become, for better or worse. I liked the poem. It made me think.

oh wow, LIne, I was on YOUR wave length here when I composed my ten words sonnet last night that I just posted. I sometimes think how in a hundred years from now ALL will be gone that had any relationship to me directly, such as my grandkids and my sisters. Love this. I wish it won with Brian but at least you got an HM with Julie. I'm on my way off here now but had to see at least one of your fine poems. Dinner to make and some fast trompoline jumping in front of Netflix!
