Olive Eloisa Guillermo - Fraser Poet Dramatic Monologue

Gone

raw so raw feelings you resurrect
how could you ever have that nerve
the nerve to ever say you love me again
haven't you done enough?
you shattered my world at peace
you cause storms 
that on my knees
I fall and begin to weep
I fall and begin to bleed
you said: "I am your light"
yet with your deeds  you turned all to night
I know dreams don't always come true
Nor wishes don't always come true
but... hear me out!
things can be done 
when there is that  interest
there is that whole willingness
there is that unceasing effort
there is that  selfless love
there is that grace
I am no hypocrite to tell 
I have been all that fine
I can't tell nor close my eyes
to mumble a big terrible lie
rather what I will tell is 
for you to go away..
to stay far far far away...
Leave me to deal
Leave me to heal
Leave me to feel
Leave me on my heel
so long are your sweet sweet words
so long... so so so long...
gone are the days when I am all starry eyed
gone are the days when I quiver and offer my arms  open wide
gone are the days that I want to show all that's in me
those are gone.. gone. gone.
