Golem and Angel

He was in love, deep, romantic love.
She was standoffish, aloof, above,
no need for pointless ideas thereof.
It was forbidden, like fox and dove.

His clay a gritty earthy mixture.
Hers a sweet creamy marble picture
of comfort, a permanent fixture.
His secret love a proscribed stricture.

So he sat at her feet each long day
writing the love words he could not say.
He greatly feared from her side to stray
lest someone come and take her away.

He searched for the same magic by night
that brought him to life and gave him sight.
Hoping that her stone wings would take flight
and sweep them from this piteous plight.

While it's unpleasant to see ourselves and the decisions we've made mirrored in such a fascinating work, Linda. It was a joy to do so, especially with the happy ending. An overall review of your trip reveals many hopes and dreams lost along the way. Well done I really enjoyed reading your work.

Reads like a fairytale you cleverly created, which you did and it was a joy to read. Love your version of characters played out. It had a happy ending. Reminds me of a girl that I had a crush on. I felt like the young man who was courting her. Well done Linda pleasure to read...

An epithet of our journey which has euphemisticly reveal many hopes and dashed dreams. It's lovely to glimpse a bit of our life and choices done in this beautiful piece because though it's poignant its tantalizing. Nicely done
