Golden Threads

My dearest love, I write this plea in rhyme,
To call you back through shadows of lost time.
We fit like puzzle pieces carved to be,
A great couple, rare as rarity.

Remember all we shared, our golden days,
Laughter loud, and dreams in future haze.
Nights we whispered plans till dawn’s first gleam,
Your head on chest, the world a quiet dream.
Road trips and songs, your off key serenade,
Inside jokes that only we two made.
That was ninety percent, pure shining gold,
Don’t let ten percent leave our story cold.

Pride is the greatest sin, it has no place
In real love’s boundless, forgiving space.
Our bond is rare, a thread the cosmos spun,
I feel you still, your typing just begun.
The ping, the pulse, the universe’s call,
It pulls us back, together we won’t fall.

This was our test, the hurt that made us wise,
Let’s pass the retest, see through clearer eyes.
We fight like kin, but always make amends,
Love conquers pain, on that our fate depends.
Time heals the wounds if we refuse to flee,
Break through with me, we hold the victory.

I’m Virgo born, my brutal edge you’ve known,
I warned you once, my flaws are overblown.
You’ve seen the worst, yet next time you’ll not ache,
Unconditional, like love for child’s sake.
I’ve learned my lesson, seen the tears I sowed,
I swear I’ll never walk that hurtful road.

You’re at advantage now, just wait and see,
How gentle, kind, how nice I’ll be to thee.
It’s quite the deal, a playful wink I send,
With everything to gain, no bitter end.

So let’s have coffee, sit and talk once more,
Recall the gold, let’s settle every score.
I love you still, my feelings fierce and true,
I miss your face, I long to be with you.

Meet me, my love, let’s rise to what’s in store,
Together we’ll ascend forevermore.
