Golden One, Sweet Connie
Sweet golden one, shine like the sun
On the glorious shore of Life
Sweet were your flowers, in earthen hours
Yet sweeter still on heaven's hill
In freedom, far from strife
Sorrow left me silent as I paused to realize
Your poet's pen is still now, the ink is fully dried
Your words now seen, through misty eyes
Though all the tears on earth you cried
Washed 'way in heaven's tide
Will you meet us Connie? When we too lay
Down earth's pen?
Called home to light and glory,
Where we'll sing in joy again?
You must have seen sweet Carolyn upon that
Side of Life, are you two penning
Praises? Midst angelic harps and fife?
Oh golden one, sweet Connie,
On heaven's shore abide
And we will meet in person across the
Golden Tide
Where poet's ink is gold indeed
And written on the clouds
Where angelic muses utter praise
And sing the poems out loud
Upon the Glorious Golden Shore
Your aching heart will break no more
And love is pure and light Divine
Where Golden one, we know you shine
