Gold Stamp Tableau

Sultry red,
      yellow pillow sky,
        teased tandem,
      with citric,
    shades afloat oe’r waking town,
       mirror bubbly folk in lane

       jubilant,
   trademark burrs catching,
     glad echoes,
    urge urban,
  tableau of chalkmarked gold stamp,
      where sheer pluck triumphs

        buses swerve,
    rapid rail steel track,
     squeaky noise,
    hoot … toot…. cabs,
   en route symbol’s “jaunty” march,
       co migrant orbit

Cool poem, Howard. This looks like one that could do well in a contest of Brian's.

A vivid tableau of urban life comes to life with your vibrant imagery and rhythmic flow, my friend. Even with the parts that are a bit dense, but it's creatively engaging and understandbale with its imaginative and wonderful depiction.

Hello Howard, I really liked how you connect the mundane noise of buses and squeaky tracks with a larger, shared orbit, proving that sheer pluck happens on every corner before most people finish their morning coffee. Blessings, Daniel
