gold is our queen

Gold lives between silver and copper.
With a whimsical touch of yellow, and a hint of orange.
Not brazen, but glitzy.
Not warm, but confident.

She loves to be worn in glitter and gilded mirrors.
Is irritated by that copycat gold leaf.
Loves it when she is used in bowling balls or jewelry.
Necklaces and earrings and rings look royal with her touch.

Gold has a softness that takes a bite out of her metallic moods.
We who wear her, know her better than the others.
She is our go-to color.
She is our woman.
Our queen.
