Going Down In Flames

Toxic love in its truest form. I cannot let you go but, I cannot conform. Many years of tears, and raised fists. Too many of course, we are both recidivists. You finally went to the leave, but I cannot let you go.... I cannot let us end this way, I have to be able to show... I love that I held in me, and did not pass your way. The sweet words that are still to be said, and also the words I didn't say. You want me to trust you, But there are so many lies that you spun. The horrible things that you have done to me, They can never be undone.

You've taught me a new word "recidivist". Interesting poem, the central characters have certainly wound themselves into a ball. But then that's Love, beautiful, inspiring, intoxicating. Nicely said.
