Goin For Broke

i'd go broke
just to see you smile
empty my tank
driving you around
borrow money from friends and family
not pay bills and put off fixing things
but you were worth it
every penny every dime
i'd pay anything
for just a little more time
there's nothing in this world
i would'nt give to get you back
but give you to a better place ?
Yes! i'm happy about that
you went to heaven
leaving my behind
i may not look happy
but i'm happy deep inside
one day i'll pay death my life
and i'll see you again
but untill he's ready to bargin
i'll just keep remembering

I know this pain well, John, my husband left one day for work in a snow storm and never returned, so I know exactly how you are feeling, and you will remember your love each day, but deep inside you will also find incredible strength, and I think I am seeing some of that right now in your poetry~~

One day you will be reunited with her in heaven, John. Carolyn told me of your loss and I am offering prayers for you. Turn to your strong faith when you feel lost; it can bring comfort. Best to you, Diane

She is in a better place now, John, and you will see her again. I can understand how you would give anything just to have more time with her, but she loved you and would want you to make the most of your future. I have been praying for you, dear friend. God bless you and keep you in his arms as you recover from this tragic loss. Love always, Carolyn
