God's Will In My Life
I pray for God’s will to be done in my life
Even when I really want my own way sometimes
I know that it will be best to listen to Him
And do what He tells me through the very end
God’s will might not agree with what I want
He might tell me that I can’t do it all
I know that the Bible is always the right way
And I can’t allow the devil to tempt me
I pray for God’s will even when I want something else
He knows what is best for me when I digress
Whatever comes in this life I want to meet with Him
And allow Him to change my worst into His best
God’s will might not always suit me when it comes
I probably have my own plans and dreams and hopes
But what is right is always going to be the best for me
And I want to please my Heavenly Father more than anything
I pray for God’s will to lead me in the right direction
I want to follow the path that He sets before me
Give Him all of my heart and soul for reaching toward good
And please Him with my continuing to do all that I should
God’s will is forever going to be my greatest gain
When He leads and I follow I am truly at my best
I know that I won’t always want what He has for me
But know, in the end, this is what is right for me
I pray for God’s will to reach down and take my hand
To do what He has planned for me – it is the right I understand
Through His love, I have come so very far since I was young
And I know His way for me will bring peace, joy and hope
God’s will is going to fill my heart and soul with grace
Feelings of pure enlightenment without a trace of shame
He will lead me to just the right people and places along the way
And I can be sure I’m answering His call if I follow through it all
I pray for God’s will to come to me through whatever means He has
Revealing what He’s done for me and all the plans He maps
I want to do it all for Him, the One who died for my very soul
And reach my destination one day, Heaven’s bright and shining shore
