God's Promise
Don’t be afraid…God reminds those who in His faith do live
“Fear not, I am always with you,” this wonderful promise he gives.
The Bible tells the faithful the Holy Spirit beside you will stand.
Your strength and energy renewed if you only follow His plan.
At the crossroads of life when terror slithers into your soul,
His virtuous hand protects -- this is His marvelous goal.
I saw a man running fast, staring straight ahead
Later, I found him laying on a bench…his face, flaming red
“I cannot breathe if you must know,” barely able to speak
Then, quoted I God's promise, giving him no time for complaint
The runner asked for this blessing… I said repent and believe
Standing up, he looked in my eyes, asking Jesus to receive
"This loving God will guide and shelter if you just open your heart."
Kneeling, the man prayed with me... and this I did impart---
"My God raises up the faithful to soar on eagles’ wings…
Never question that He is with you for He is the King of all Kings!"
