God's Promise

God must have smiled, when there so high He hung a rainbow in the sky, To reassure, assuage our fears. We’ve been so blessed for all these years With God’s own sign that he still cares, And he oversees this earth’s affairs. So when you see the storm clouds brew, Remember God’s dear oath to you. He’s sending love in sweet accord With assurance that he keeps his word.

God has smiled upon this place, but the world gets nastier, becomes disgrace. My ancestor came out in chains, for some petty crime on the first fleet to Australia. In 1788 James White was stacking timber to maybe get some for a hut. A magistrate asked about the timber stacking. "White ants your honor" so they made him foreman. xo, Don
