God's Eyes

Well, the weight of this old world
seems like it always has me down,
but I try to paint a smile on
square my shoulders, choke it down,
and try not to let anyone see…
the war that’s going on inside of me.

But it’s harder each time
to keep towing that line
in a world that’s more uncertain everyday.
And I really don’t know why
I let things go so far before I try…
just stop, kneel down, and pray.

Then all my anxiety leaves,
and all the pain inside me
drifts away on the breeze.
When I finally come to see myself
the way that God’s eyes see…
then all my anxiety leaves.

Yeah, all my anxiety leaves
and all the fear inside me
drifts away on the breeze.
When I finally come to see myself
the way that God’s eyes see…
then all my anxiety leaves.
