God's Eyes

We often say,
heaven is above.
We may look up to the sky and think of heaven,
think of God.
Recently a writer said,
"the Blue Sky eyes of God."
That hit me profoundly,
yes she was right.
Since then I have not looked at the sky the same,
I now see God's big blue eyes.
They say God sees all,
that God is everywhere.
Now it all makes perfect sense,
the big blue sky is everywhere.
Now when I see the big blue sky,
I know I am really looking into the eyes of my God.
It is a comforting feeling,
a loving feeling.
This week it rained,
no big blue eyes to look into.
As I watched the rain coming down,
I said Oh no God is crying.
The rain seemed like His tears,
God was crying.
Then I cried,
we sat and cried together.
God made man good,
God made everything good.
Man has become cruel,
man has ruined so much.
I can see why God was crying,
for He has been so badly hurt.
I now look at the sky and see God's big blue eyes,
I now see rain as the tears of God.

Love the lines: God was crying. Then I cried, we sat and cried together.

Your simple but profound verse has really struck a chord with me Paula.... ! I so enjoyed your lovely lines. There is all the reason for God to cry as He is so saddened by the atrocities of man.

Thank You, for reading/writing. Glad you like this "God's Eyes" write. I will never look at the sky the same way again. God must be very sad at this crazy world. Have a great day/weekend...............

There's no escaping those eyes, but I think perhaps more than The Sky, all around us - I often wonder how God/Source/He/She/It can be on point seeing every individual's life and circumstances. I think perhaps God is interdimensional, not just the sky, but 'inside' us. Now how that equates with highly corrupt souls (for the "I Am" is in everyone of us)...is yet to be understood. Some will negate the existance of God entirely. But I continue to watch the Sky...and the clouds. God is a mystery.

Jesus was real. Jesus is real, to me. So I relate more to Jesus and would somehow aspire to possess his qualities (which I fail at on a daily basis), but through Jesus is the understanding and belief in God/Source. Beautiful analogy about the tears of God from your poem Paula; and I stand with Kim below, re her comments the tears of Jesus. Beautiful poem and strongly empathetic with God. I do not believe Jesus is God, but through Jesus (and the other Masters), one reaches God. Psalm 119:18 NIV. Love L Xx

And those tears when Jesus was so broken and nailed to the cross then forsaken by God for us! Those tears rained upon the earth. Then came resurrection day, our great hope from “Blue Eyes!”
