God Save Ukraine

God Save Ukraine
Thousands of civilians run for their lives
Leaving loved ones, homes, possessions behind
Hoping and praying that they will survive 
That their menfolk remain safe and alive.

Men fighting Putins detestable war
When there’s no logical reason at all
So many innocent people lie dead
Caused by a madman who thrives on bloodshed.

Pray that the creator’s compassionate grace 
Overcomes lost hope of the human race
That one day the Light will shine on Ukraine
And the world becomes a safe place again.
