God Rules My Soul

The time is late
Darkness rules the sky
Dew falls upon my skin
Stars above twinkle endlessly

I close my eyes and rest
Anticipating the new day
To be awakened
By the Son

The colors rise
The colors change before my eyes
The warmth upon my skin
I run, I cry, I shout

This new day lives
I'm exhausted
I felt His love
I say His beauty

The colors rest
They change to darkness again
Darkness rules the sky
But God rules my soul
