God Pain -,Not

I
First one feels family-hood
As Muslims or Hindus may do
Upon learning, "she's Catholic, he Hindu"
Soon, what denomination are You?
Or, are you a Druze, Shi',i, Sunni or Jew?
Then God becomes estranged
Because we want to help but use chains

II
A west African told my daughter in 1995
"My money is blessed, not your kind,"
As with bumper stickers - most unkind
But cute, smart even, but does it teach?
The love if your God? He couldn't luv all
St. Francis said, words not best to preach
Are our lives, yours & mine, within His reach

Religions that sprout hate are not God's messengers. The earth is vast enough to accommodate us all. I like the essence of your poem, Anil.
