God had a Plan

Shirley had never attempted an entire quilt by herself before. But her mother was dying, and she wanted to show her she could. Her mother was thrilled with the flower garden quilt. She had been suggesting Shirley attempt one on her own for years. They had team quilted for the past forty-two years. But it was imperative that Shirley try one on her own. Her mother could not stop complimenting her. Realizing that her quilting prowess might now live on. Knowing her remaining hours could now be spent admiring the quilt. She had never been this proud of her daughter, and she told her. It was the first time either one of them had said "I love you". Thankfully, it was something they both needed to say. So God had a plan. As usual.
