God Bless America

God Bless America

Through the rolling hills of Colorado
To the sounds of Louisiana & Hampton Beach
I tip my hat to every soldier that may seem so out of reach
Through a lone portal in a storm there's room for more
Lest I implore another way an opened door
It's the home of the free and land of the brave
This land has enough for people to crave
Shattered dreams left helpless by evil schemes
When you come to this land of free you will soon agree
With mighty rolling hills & crimsome tide
We welcome new people in yet they just run away & hide
Lands where my fathers died a soft reply
A chosen vessel displayed in blazing portals enflamed
Let me be the first to explain it's in the tender touch
Of the lone soldier selling poppies at the local store
It's written on the many faces never filled with social disgraces
The setting of the sun to the fullest moon at night
There sets ablaze a flag that many honor & celebrate
It's in the heart of a lost stranger somewhere searching in the night
The tide goes out to watch on with it's fullest of light
Old glory stands for the red, white & blue
Let's shine the light that's burning bright for everyone to see
