God Bless

out on a tangent she sings offbeat
and dances to a different drummer
she's in a world that’s gone askew
god bless her soul

loneliness has ravaged her inside
left her heart an open wound
in pain and dire need of love
dried up I see her slowly dying

she’s out of sync in agony
craving to find a special someone
most times she's given up
thinking anyone may be out there

there's got to be
there has to be
god bless her soul
she has a heart of gold

Breaks my heart to know there are people who have never known love. Losing a loved one is one thing but to never have known love... now that's sad

She is blessed to be seen by you, and may our eyes be opened to each of those touched deeply by such pain. Your heart must touch her somehow, even through the care that touched you to write this poem, it is love sublime, and I pray God blesses her soul as well as the many others suffering.
