God Alone Is
Assign not ownership
to cravings of ego
rooted in dark desire,
being but illusions,
in this world, they aspire.
Assign not ownership
to imagined knowing,
that seeks but an applause,
deepening delusion,
ignorant of God’s laws.
Assign not ownership
of our enablements,
which are by God bestowed,
instead choosing to heal
souls to whom love is owed.
Assign not ownership
to the poems we write,
for these words are His gifts,
which if aligned with love,
our soul heavenwards lifts.
