God
God

Some seize a belief and try to fit
The model to the mold they've built
With seven billion in the ring
Consuming doubt, assuming schemes
Yet, does not change the narrative
Bequeathed as life's most precious gift
From many who were disinclined
And sought not what their hearts would find
Outside the city, flogged and slain
Gave witness to a counter claim
None viewed as fake when met their eyes
That, although dead, could also rise
If phantom faith predates the souls
Where fallen angels seized control
Of earthly countenance in sin
Foreshadowed Who, What, Where, and When
While lending credence to the Word
Revealing what was merely heard
Whence from a devil's vile intent
Should once more serve as testament
Still, great debates are raging full
From extant cross to temporal
Belief in God does not exist
But was, will be, and always is
