God

There you are your the grandest, The Everything, the propagandist, The created not the creator Manifested from the dictator. I don’t believe in magic, Nor bigotry from the tragic. I don’t believe in fairy tales, Those threats from all the scary tales. Spread throughout like wild fires, By preachers and beguiled liars. Evolved in time to infect the mind, To embrace and destroy all mankind. There you are you’re the gravity. The atoms in every cavity. You’re the cells in all things living You’re the notes in all things singing. You’re the great mathematical equations, And the shy and cowardly evasions. You’re the inspired of love and poetics, And the envy of all those pathetic. You’re The Everything that’s near and far, The commandeering earring star. From time’s first breath to breathless end, The analogy we all pretend. A delusion that saves us from ourselves, For comfort and protection in our shells. A voice to convince us we’re not alone, To soothe the guilt and feel atoned. There you are you’re The Nothing, The deception and all the bluffing. So leave and let us live, Let the heavens not forgive. The world has grown up now, The magic is no longer needed. I don’t believe in magic.
