Goals till the Twilight of My Life
When my heart allows God’s love to prevail
while exuding kindness so blest
smiting selfishness
conquering greed and envy…
…then care's radiance glows bright.
As my soul seeks for divine grace
always vibrant despite gloom of fear
to vanquish despair
triumphing over worry…
…then faith champions prayer-wonders.
Since my spirit thrives midst hope
to soothe anguish and ache of guilt
freeing mind from frustration-failure
to bring joy with pardon bliss…
…then courage serves as inspiration that cheers.
While my commitment for good works* abounds
as the Lord’s mercy shines with delight
toward grateful exuberance
showcasing worshipful praise…
...then devotion to reach-out keeps on despite limitations.
Whenever my well-being continues to consider others' welfare
while aware of human nature blight
acknowledging own faults and mistakes
toward personal growth along transformation-progress...
...then fulfillment of victorious existence testifies dependence upon the Creator.
*1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
