Go Beyond Yourself
do not become-
that which you loathe and hate-
revulsion intoxicating
despicable and cruel
let thoughts of revenge fall away
go beyond yourself
rise up over and above
see your vast artistic tableau
this gift the Lord himself gave you
and to all the others who share your vision
words and verses
beautiful
let go of the insignificant
the unimportant
the trivial and the petty
(go beyond yourself)
where poemsgossamer are dancing
twirling swirling whirling cascadingdown
no matter how much your heart is bleeding
do not
become
that
which
you loathe
and hate
yourheartisbroken but you will rise up
higher than before stronger wiser
oh just let go of the weeping dear heart
I promise
the pain will end for you
the bleeding will stop in time
your pen will drip words forever
but the hateful and cruel will always be
rise up-
be a lovely bird
with majestic wings
fluttering in the sunshine
go beyond yourself
and your pain
turn your emotions into poems that float and drift above
