Go a Step Beyond Writing - Act

As we count the number of corona deaths
I sit and ponder about my last trekking in woods
How many ants and small insects I would have trampled with my feet
Unknowingly how many deaths would have occurred that one day

In front of my my house there's a tree with crows nest
Completely covered by leaves, natural walls.
How many such trees and nests exist today?
When these homeless birds make nests in our houses we destroy them.

Homeless
Shivering in cold
I feel sad when I think of the birds
I try not to think about them

I am selfish and heartless
else I would have done something beyond writing.
