Glory of Green Repost

Green hues denote the healing of our earth,
That special season of springtime’s rebirth.

Green grasses growing o’er the hillside's face,
Embracing greening trees in leafy lace.

While amber fields engage in heaven’s kiss
As raindrops splash into emerald bliss,

I watch amazed as tender shoots abound
With daffodils and tulips breaking ground.

A floral scent begins to fill March air.
St. Patty’s I’ll wear flowers in my hair.

So many varied hues that can be seen,
This Irish lass loves every shade of green!

 Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Hello Connie … your poem reminds me so much of when I lived in Sunraysia when in early spring, bud burst occurred on the grape vines. It's the most beautiful green I have ever witnessed - thank you Connie - Lindsay

It's great to see you repost this, Connie. I know how you love the irish. I nearly forgot it was the day to dress in green because of the stress of training to teach online. But I remembered and went to work but only the other teachers were there learning to teach to the students from afar.

A great write for the old Saint. Love all your green references, and living in a virtual desert as I do, I envy you your Hawai'ian landscapes, volcanos notwithstanding, lol! Gorgeous! Hugs/John

Thank you John. The big celebrations on St. Patrick's Day were cancelled this year. It doesn't seem much like spring, but our flowering trees are in bloom as the earth is oblivious to the virus. The desert has its beauty too. xxoo
