Glorious Stained Glass Angel

Oh, glorious stained glass angel
beautiful and giving, selfless and sound
with piercing staff and kaleidoscopic shield

lead your army of Christian soldiers through the crusades
how rough they are, not fully understanding
yet ready to follow you to hell or wherever

We see you as our backlit angel, a sort of goddess
Your willingness to be on the front lines always impresses us
Winged historians hover near to record your feats

We are in awe of your strength and stealth
The enemy cowers, terrified and intimidated
By your beauty, determination and faith.

The enemy falls.
Another battle won.
Thanks to you, oh glorious stained glass angel!
