Glitterless and Bare

In a world swathed, in the darkest of night
She danced and she twirled, emanating light
The very place where, her dainty hands lay
Scintillated sparks, of glorious day

A woman touched, by celestial grace
Heavenly glitter, sheened angelic face
She traipsed high and low, aching hearts to bless
Lustrous glory, she clothed in tenderness

One day fairy, by unseen hand did fall
Shiny wings crushed, she was left there to crawl
Her soul's glimmer, now flowed out in her tears
Prostrate on the ground, weighed by bitter fears

With every sob, falling glitter left bare
Her magic gone, she gave in to death there

Poor Fairy! This was a sad one Eileen. Did you mean "she gave into death" ?

A sad poem my little Desert Orchid, sometimes even those that dedicate their lives in making others better get crushed now and then. Take care, Richard

When our heart and/or mind has fallen, our tears will be the way to uplift us and let us go rise from here. It's the only way to go now.

I don't know, Drake...There is a level below the ground as well....It can go either way. Thanks for the uplifting thoughts.
