Glimmer of Sun

Sun peeks from behind tree line.
Soft remnant of cold day
Which did not warm up until late afternoon.

Last bit of optimism
Slipping away fast
With glimmer of sun.

Making room for cold, dark, evening.
Moon smiles, recognizing
Sun’s deference to his authority.

Thank you Evelyn. I was staring at the sun disappearing behind the trees when I wrote this one.

It will be in the 60’s here tomorrow. Weird for Kansas.
