Giving Up

I sold my soul for acclaim
But now I have to shoulder the blame
I did my best to be great
Never knowing I was already late

Look at these rhymes
Just silly chimes in torrid times
And mimes putting up walls
Even a goat falls

I guess I'm a better solo artist
Because I'm definitely not the smartest
But with my anger awoken
I bite my teeth to leave words unspoken

I laugh and have no manners
So torch my banners
And forget I was ever there
Heh, as if anyone cared

'I bite my teeth to leave words unspoken' - so evocative, so much of your poetry is about sadness, really touching-
