Giving Space

It just feels wrong to leave someone alone,
who is struggling greatly
But it is what he is asking for
Can I turn my back on someone who is hurting
and leave him to his dark thoughts?

I can because I respect our relationship
and I realize that I may be pushing in my
desire to help.  But I do wonder if
it is a healthy thing to basically turn
the relationship off for a time

Will it still be a relationship when he is ready?
That is a good question, but not one for me to ask
since I don't need the space, he does
and I will give it, while increasing my prayers for him
and resting in the knowlege that God is in control

I can empathize with your feelings. Same time I have been in his shoes where my stuff was my stuff and I wanted space and distance to figure it out so I didn’t hurt the ones I love as I did work it out. Hugs an important write!
