Given To Me

They gave it to me; you never own me.
My words, my dance, my songs; are from the days gone by.
My sway is my father's ; his sway is his father's.
Always with us.
On their broad shoulders, I stand;
holding their fist with every beat.
You can't take this from me;
It was given to me by my father, my mother, his father, her mother;
I will forever remain.

Oh Catherine, Yes, our outer life should reflect one's inner spiritual wealth.
