Given the Choice I Would

Would I lie on my bed pillows propping my head with my poetry or watching tv? Had I a maid, I surely could and given the choice, I would! Would I more often play in my elderly way, hanging out with my cats or enjoying my chats and not going to work every day? Had I a life in which money were good, then given the choice, I would! Would I jump on a cruise, do whatever I choose were the choice between what I liked and liked not? Well, if I had nothing to lose, I think that by now, it's well understood, when given the choice - I would! I loved this one, brought a smile as I read the words and got the rhythm. Light and breezy, really enjoyed it!

That is how I felt before I retired, but the problem is you slow down and you get less done than you think you will. Lol. I enjoyed this Andrea. : )

I love how you did this one, so fun to read as it bounces along and grows face-smiles. A good time poem, plus I would if you could, too! (late, getting silly - rather early and sleepless silly, but so content) Love ... CayCay

Hi Andrea, sorry I am late to answer u back, I broke my ankle 3 weeks ago and i am wearing the high strong boots to keep it firm and maybe heal after 2 or 3 more months, my other foot has 2 last broken toes also wearing a lighter boot for them to heal. I loved your poem, its so deep and sad at the same time. You are as always so deep when u write your poems. I hope u are feeling better, i think of you. Much love see u soon. Yerry xoxo

Alas, we often have to make do without choices, Andrea! May the ones we make be guided by common sense:) Regards // paul

yep, but it's all good. We have our trials, and without them, we would not learn empathy for others.

Given the choice I think I would choose the same things all over again, a marvelous poem, Andrea.
