Notes About The Poem

If you love someone, tell that person so, every day.

Give Me Your Heart

Write for me a love poem.
Use words I long to hear.
Tell me that you cherish me.
My loss is your only fear.

Sing for me a love song.
Express your love for me.
Bare your soul, give me your heart;
No need for jewelry.

You don't have to spend a lot,
To tell me of your love.
You only have to speak your mind.
I have no knowledge of,

The things you hold within your heart,
The thngs that you hold dear.
You must tell me of these things.
They're things that I must hear.

You don't have to be a poet,
Know how to string a line,
You simply have to speak the truth,
Your own words are just fine.

Just tell me that you love me.
Be there when winds blow cold,
And it's you that I will reach for,
Together we'll grow old.
