Give Me Another Life

Give me another life

God why did you give me life and take my heart ?
Without a soul, it's a dead feigned living,
Took away my love and forced to again start ?

How tough it is if I don't have a zing,
Days don't pass and nights are long,
No emotions, having lost interest in everything,

Maybe universe calling but I can't get along,
Not to appreciate yet constant stare at sky,
As if disowned by you, I don't belong,

Why not give me dreams and wings to fly?
Abundant desires but all are dead,
Why not awaken some if not imply?

Why not erase some grief and put zeal in head,
Replace great sorrows with some of joy,
Unveil dark clouds of past to clear present ahead,

God I am your living heart and no toy,
Help me, bless me, send some sunshine,
Few sparkling moments must to enjoy,

Ecstasy warm and rich as wine,
As unfurling jubilance of flag gets dues,
Vibrant sentiments will intertwine,

God let rains wash away all the blues,
Help delicate paints mingle to give newer hues!

Congratulations Dr. Sharma on your winning poem. Somehow I find beauty in the sadness because of all the beautiful suggestions to the sad questions. I hope the rain has washed away all your blues.
