Give Him My Spirit

He smiles down at me When I’ve done the right thing He whispers joy through me When I’ve shown that I adore Him He blesses my heart with love When I’ve given up my sins for hope He answers all the prayers I send With help that promises reassurance He inspires me to create and learn When I’ve sought His truth and insight He gently pushes me to truly grow With His presence always encouraging me He requires me to remember His Word When I fail to remain true to what’s right He guides me through my disappointments With a hand that is tender and comforts me He listens to my worst fears and anxieties When I can’t find a way through the hurt He reminds me that I always have His benefits With Him, I can always be sure to make it through He releases me from my guilt that abides When I let go of the past and give Him my mind He allows me to dream of the most loving desires With a second chance to fulfill my heart’s expectations He lives inside of my heart, always alive When I allow Him to be the center of my life He creates in me a feeling that love will survive With only the need for me to give my spirit to Him
