GIST OF ELIXIR
Through black nights I searched
for grail I was told was veil frail
St Gabriel said look deep —
frequency will bleep secrecy sacred
naked holding, enfolding a silvery drop
delicate, minus drooling or fooling
Alas ! no profound materiality adorned
midnights, though fireflies circled
etheric sights
On I journeyed through jungle rumbles
was grail a tale within presence bale
a rare white witness as angelic angles ?
sporting cobalt thorns to sting core’s flow
in swing - twisted twigs, curling creeper
sweepers I found peridot python smiling
focus in locus, then scorpions scampering
across my hampering, who simultaneously
scrubbed soiled spleen serene, to again
drip maple syrup supreme - ruefully no
grail or ale —though slowly holy single image
of golden cascading cup transmuted into
translucent petal whorls across pineal
not senile - oh my ! said jaguar, jungle made
you ayahuasca high !
To nearby bluebell ocean foam I sped
quest to head: I had to find sacred bloom
without balloons - grasping rasping ~
now evolved grail was ailing to be found
a visage sound of own making, no forsaking
sapphire seahorses wriggled like embryos
prose pearls priceless in oysters ogled
oscillated whispering wet that purity was
besotted answer, covered in spiderweb
spindly veins, serrated leaved seraphim
whimsical — Ah ! medusa head of white
petals saw I in Neptune’s heckling squid
forbid !
Out of sea my journey continued unabated
sacrosanct silent, shortened salient slumber
lumber with cucumber I had to attain this
triumphant trophy, creatures met said was a
high priestess’ ease of purification’s pendant
perchant glee, fleeing grasp too blustery
blast ?
At edge of beach long lash camel awaiting
his hump-bump ; I was to jump with thump
deep into parched desert we tread
across dune grained devilish windstorms
dried dates we saliva quick mixed
resilience meant romping stomping
peril sigils — eyes swollen red with
Sahara dust, ruby rust a must to reach
oasis sanctuary — crystalline refined
shimmering voluptuary
God-Goddess behold sight never seen !
shattered mitochondrial filament beams
brain cells across cracked bluffs slid to bid
a strength so beguiling in its beckoning
lifelong reckoning of my unmaking
shaking I clutched camel’s ear velveteen
sheen - a single white rose behold !
arose surreal from silvery silky oasis
blistered fingertips to coddle : trespassing
thorns dissipating forlorn into caving void
singular snow rose vaporised into heart’s
pond to fondle subatomic honey hive
unceasing elixir gist, joy rides !
