Gist

Listen to poem:

Lurking in the murky mist a glimmer lies peripheral. Invisible to the blaze of stare-eyed gaze, uncertainty is determinant. The gist is missed until you look away, disengage, and let the quagmire ooze belch its quintessence.

Whoops! Too many Gists! If you've come here for an example of a song lyric performance for my contest the poem is "Gist was Hollow, Right to the Core" . The recording is to be added via the 'Listen to poem' and video add-ons, not in the text box itself.
