Girl, I'M Wishing

She's writing again
God, how I love her pen
That hand can make a man tremble
Her script today about the sea
So jealous, wishing it were me

Just seeing her name
And I'm falling to pieces
I can't shake the feeling 
Or stop myself from reeling
Captivated by her heart

Paradise abides within her soul
All of her, an unrelenting goal
She's got words that make me fly
Again today, time stood still
Can love's belief make it all real

Just seeing her name

I know it sounds crazy to say
Whispering her lines, I think today
These words written about the sea
I'm dreaming of how it could be
If this girl's really thinking about me

Girl, I'm wishing...
Wishing you're thinking about me

Girl, I'm wishing...
Wishing for a you and me!

Note: I wanted to write a song about that wishing feeling. Those things going on inside so many of us. Things we can't or won't ever say out loud. Because it's just fantasy, right? Or could there actually be more... What if this girl is thinking about me while I thinking about her?!?!

So just for fun, if you think this write is really about you.. you just might be right!! The tension of the unknown is intoxicating.. so drink up my friends!

Marc Acrich July 5, 2018 at 10:20 AM i like it, just remember the slower you write the deeper you pull from, I think thats the trick i saw Rod Mcuen, slow talker, slow everything, what if im on to something , i use to write very fast but im on some meds slow me down to normal
