The gift of what wasn't - My heart aches, Daniel, losing a child is painful and heart-wrenching. I read somewhere; Bring your grief to the Lord and let His truth speak over your life and your child's life. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Ecclesiastes 11:5 :)

Dear Anaya, I am sorry I missed your comment, and I appreciate your visit. It is very difficult to lose a child. Two of my daughters had miscarriages, and my wife had an ectopic. such a heartbreaking scene and sadly it is one that others can relate to for real Daniel,it made me think of the nursery teacher when I was doing my nursery nurse training, she had a stillborn baby and had a breakdown as a result. still breaks my heart thinking about it:-( hugs jan xx

Dear Daniel, I know of what you speak having miscarried our first child. Your words remind me so poignantly of the sorrow, the grieving, the disappointment and the emptiness. Having had two boys, I often wonder if this little soul was a girl. But then I think I have a little champion in Heaven that I will one day embrace. Some unfinished dreams are the most painful! What a deeply meaningful and soul stirring monoku this is! Truly touching and left me sad! Especially that anonymous quote really resonates with me and i remember someone saying that to me too. And i must say whether long or short, any form you do, you have a way with words, and i cant help but sigh as i read this ! So many suffer in silence, the tragic loss of unborn heartbeats, that touches their soul even without having to meet them, such is the emotional cycle of miscarriage etc…. Poignant write! Dearest Empress, Thanks for feeling the depth of my soul in this one liner. Having lost a child to an ectopic before my first daughter was born and then my oldest daughter having a miscarriage before her first daughter was born and again my middle daughter had a miscarriage before her first daughter was born and another miscarriage after that has been emotionally draining at times for the family. We know that it is always in God's hands, and we hope to meet those children one day in heaven. If I haven't expressed it enough, I am always truly grateful for your visits and empathetic comments. So very sad. My last grandchild did not get even the thought of shoes, sadly ectopic. Perhaps in heaven got his or her first baby booties.
