Gift of Choice
No- one said there wouldn’t be hills on this road we travel.
No-one said there wouldn’t be storms to face along the way.
It is with our will to climb the hills, hold faith to survive the storms.
No-one said we would not be hurt or there would not be struggle.
But we were given tears to cleanse the pain for our heart to smile.
No-one said we wouldn’t be weak or tired with those extra miles
Of the many challenges that life delivers as we go about our lives.
But there is always hope because when we have fallen down
There is still sturdy ground beneath us, for us to stand again.
Time can bring surprises and angels live among us every day.
Those who are filled with love, who care what we have to say.
To show the sun keeps rising no matter how dark the nights are.
Daylight will come again with offerings, a new beginning for everyone.
For what we have been given is a gift of choice to listen to the angels,
To be that angel for another….because all of us fall sometimes.
