Ghost Towns

Imagine yourself
In a small gold mining town
you know that gold will run out
you know that for now you have money

but the future is not guarantied
without money a gold town
become a ghost town
yet you decide to change

talking to the people
you encourage group investment
you invest in building farms
you invest in building zoos

you invest in building
amusement parks
you invest in building factories
so when the Gold money runs out

you have jobs
you have money
coming from your investments
you have a town that's not

a ghost town
now imagine
you work in the car industry
and in the future you know

that with a world recession
people reduce their spending
the car industry will struggle
factories will close

you talk to the people in the factory
part of you disposable income
is redirected into investment
so that when your factories close

you have companies that you own
companies can provide work
companies that can provide wages
money to feed your family

money to provide the lifestyle
that you need in your time of need
today we all face the corona-virus
but when it comes time to grow

perhaps we could all become investors
creating work for ourselves
and jobs for our future
creating life in ghost towns
