Ghost Love
I sought to worship and love you the more
Amidst the gloom never a dull moment
I sacrificed my time, wealth, life, and my all
Wholeheartedly to make our love decent
You could just reflect back my love I wish
Then it will have flesh enough to be seen
You could dwell in the ocean like the fish
And swim in my love as had always been
But my yearn for a beloved other
You have proven there was no true essence
Now I conclude: Love should never matter
For matter got no lasting existence
Futile efforts raising love high above
Just to realise it was a ghost love.
