Getting Older
I know that I'm getting older
But I swallow a bitter pill
Since there are constant reminders
Hinting that I'm over the hill
I received a letter one day
Life insurance, it was about
It bothered me some when it said
Hurry up, time is running out!
Whenever we go to the buffet
They asked will there be a discount?
Admit I'm over fifty five?
Not for a fifty cent amount!
But by far the worst reminder
I'm not the pup I use to be
Is when I look in the mirror
An old geezer looks back at me!
