What would Jesus Do?
Certainly not everything
I ask -- far wiser! Honestly,
I doubt that any of us knows.
Would He turn the other cheek?
Perhaps, turn a few tables over?
Call all Father's children, his
sacred sisters and brothers,
or a generation of Vipers and
snakes? Instead of armies,
would He have sent Social
Workers to settle with Hitler?
What I don't want to do...
is someday stand before God
and say, while the world was
burning, and innocence being
consumed, all I did was pray

when a bucket of water sat
beside me....

I can understand and agree....praying is important but action is part of the responsibility (in my mind) Enjoyed your thought provoking poem

Not a cut and dry issue...age prevents action, other physical, mental, emotional restrictions prevent certain actions...but I feel we should do whatever we can do to help prayer. "God helps those who help themselves", but I have found him also merciful regardless. No easy answer.

You are a man of action 'Joe Dimino' Yet its a hard line to hold..However we Should realise we all struggle in our own Way.' The early Christians won through By prayer alone..And Gods action.' Yet Who knows the manner for our time? I will pray for your victorys.'

Thank you, Joe; at the moment, difficult to talk sense to me. Very upset over Kirk's Murder. In a week or so, perhaps I will be more reasonable. My faith and trust are in God. My feelings at the moment are with that dear man's beloved wife and children. His beautiful little children who will now grow up without the embrace of their father.
