Get Along
The time has finally come,
for you and I to get along.
For too many years,
we have caused tears.
I have no more pain,
so, we can try again.
I have no regret,
so, let’s forgive and forget.
It’s been too long,
that this has gone on.
Let’s meet halfway,
and make it a good day.
I have a deep love for you,
and you can take that as a cue.
We can reach out a hand,
and help each other understand.
The past is long gone,
and it’s time to get along.
