Geronimo - a Cunning Escape

Those cowboys chased him ’cross the land What a shame they hadn't planned The man accused of rape and pillage Made it to a distant village Leather boots effecting entry Every shack discovered empty Save for one where ‘mum’ was cooking Cowboys moved on, elsewhere looking Who could know Geronimo Would ever wear a kimono And stand there cooking chicken dippers Wearing bright pink fluffy slippers

With 1/4 of the entire U.S. Army in the field to capture him, Geronimo held a 4-day puberty rite for an Apache girl who experienced menarche during the escape. Completely surrounded, they remained "invisible" to the military leaving one to wonder if 1/4 of the entire U.S. Army were also deaf? Aloha! Rico

Hi Rico, apart from the fact that he lived remarkably recently I have no historical knowledge of Geronimo or his life. I made up the fluffy slippers ending in the shower (as one does) and the rest, as they say, is (not) history. Hope it brought a titter. Terry
