Gentling Breath
Gentle is the sound of joy,
Lifted across the starlit night,
Breathing beauty over the heart
And soothing away the dark
With a music made from hope
Tender is the unblemished whisper,
Sighing light into the noise
Wistful expressions of a psalm,
Filled with kindness, grace belongs
On the notes of rustling whimsy
Quiet is the brave, cool listening
From a spirit who knows intimately
Faith and peace, praises so sweet,
Inspirations, creativity, alive
Like the wind, dancing with life
Beautiful is the solemn promise
Belonging to a miracle, wonder complete
It rests in the colors, hues sometimes
Blurred by the holy, the sacred, the timelessness
Arriving on the soul who knows…
This is the serenity, the friend
Freeing the spirit, so resilient, like the brilliant
In a wish, a star, a summer swimming with
Brisk, a picture of peace, flowing
Like the river, wild yet still as the prayer, the praise…
Lifted from lips who remember
It is love that abides throughout life,
Forever in paradise, alive
Like the One who created us, moved us
To believe in the love that found a way to save us!
