Genie In a Bottle

A Genie in a bottle was what I hoped to find
While walking on the beach playing games in my mind.
Daydreaming of the three wishes he'd bestow,
Still walking on the beach, kicking sand as I go.

The first wish I would make would be for love.
Someone to call my own, sent from up above.
The second wish would have to be for peace,
For every war on this whole wide world to cease.

The third wish would be for my children, two,
That they would have happiness their whole lives through.
Oh what a beautiful daydream to be granted wishes, three,
By a Genie in a bottle, on the beach, waiting for me.

Have you ever seen the movie "The Brass Bottle" starring the late Burl Ives? Reading this fine work reminded me of the movie. You have great descriptiveness and rhyming here.
